This beach often hosts many international as well as national surfing contests due to its big and faster swells.

The other surf point in the area is Snapper Point a favourite among long boarders and surf craft enthusiasts due to the nature of their waves which are more suitable for this type of surfing.

Little Mali is another break in the area, not too far from Snapper Point. It’s a reef break and is more famous among longboard riders.

The Greenmount Point is another break in the region where the waves break and curl into a shallow sand bank. Kirra Point is the final break in this area and one of the most famous in Australia.
