As an archipelago of islands, the Maldives comprises mainly of a large sea based extent than land extent. The Cocoa Corner is essentially a dive site off a reef and is set apart from other sites due to the ability to enjoy the same site in different ways depending on the current and other conditions. A depth of around 25 – 29 meters is ideally maintained with around 40 meters from the edge and if current conditions are right, divers can make their way easily to Kandooma Thila as well.

When going into the Thila, if divers were to maintain their depth management, a longer dive period could be enjoyed. Grey Reef Sharks are abundant; both large parent species as well as babies. Apart from this Jack Fish, Eagle Rays, Napoleons, and even Sea turtles, grey tips and white tips can also be found.

This dive site is not for the faint of heart and the amateur diver as the current can be relatively strong.
